Hello all,
Here we are, in our final week :( Crazy how quickly January and February have zoomed by and how well all your athletes are skiing!! Congratulations to all for hanging in there with all the weather ups and downs and for being such great coachable skiers. I speak for both of us by saying that we’ve had an awesome ski season, so thanks and thank you parents!! But we’re not quite done yet…
Yesterday we focused on skiing and getting runs in. We also reinforced the pole plant drill so thanks for sharing that video with your skier. All our skiers should now be skiing with their poles, so please bring them on Saturday!
On Saturday, we will have fun, and test our skills, in our annual (and famous!) end-of-season-dual-slalom. You are all invited to ski along and participate so we look forward to seeing many of you on the slopes! We’ll end our session with an all athletes flag parade from top to bottom so look for that as well. Please plan on hanging out at 11 am, for some treats and general good cheer.
As for what’s going on with that “bermed area” in the middle of the hill, well it’s an event sponsored by Sidecountry Sports (not for the cardboard box derby race, sorry!). It’s a snowboard event and it takes place on Saturday as well.
