U10, week#4 (2/2)

3 Feb 2022 by Charlotte Horovitz

Good rainy morning:(
Great practice last evening, we were NOT cold! Balmier temperatures were certainly welcome and everyone noticed how much the weather affects the snow/hill conditions. It was a great opportunity to highlight one more reason why it’s so important to have a solid foundation so as to be able to adapt to whatever the mountains deliver.
We split the group up again and continued to work on form and technic by reinforcing known drills. And taking advantage of Nor’Easter being uncrowded, both groups practiced speed by instructing our athletes to “let your skis run down the hill”, just go straight and fast. A very fun sensation now that they all understand how to ski safe and stop safely.
Fingers crossed for that anticipated foot of fresh snow, and see you all Saturday!
Thanks to Tom Tansi for these photos of our warm-up:)
